The government is issuing an alert! Monthly pension money would be affected if you do not complete the annual identification by May 25 | Personal finance news

New Delhi: The Ministry of Defense has requested Defense Pensioners to complete their annual life identification/certification process by May 25, 2022 to ensure proper processing of the monthly pension.

“After verifying the data received as of 17 May 2022, it was found that 43,774 retirees who were migrated to the Pension Administration System – Rakshasa (SPARSH) did not complete their annual identification, either online or via their respective banks by November 2021,” an official statement said.

Further, for legacy retirees (pre-2016 retirees) who continue to benefit from the old pension system, it is informed that almost 1.2 lakh retirees have not completed their annual identification by one resources available, he added.

Annual identification/certification of life can be done by the following means:

1. Via Digital Jeevan Pramaan Online/Jeevan Pramaan Face app for Android users

b. SPARSH Retired: Please choose sanctioning authority as “Defence – PCDA (P) Allahabad” and disbursement authority as “SPARSH – PCDA (Pensions) Allahabad

vs. Legacy Pensioner (pre-2016 Retiree): Please select your respective sanctioning authority as “Defence – Jt. CDA (AF) Subroto Park” or Defense – PCDA (P) Allahabad” or “Defence – PCDA (Navy) Mumbai & Disbursing authority as your respective pension/DPDO disbursing bank etc.

2. Retirees can also visit Common Service Centers (CSC) to complete the annual identification. Find your nearest CSC here:

3. Retirees can also visit their nearest DPDO for life certification update. Former retirees can continue to update their life certificate with their respective banks.

The annual identification/living certification process is a legal requirement for continued and timely monthly pension credit. However, the April 2022 monthly pension was credited through a one-time special waiver for 58,275 pensioners (out of 4.47 lakh migrant pensioners on SPARSH) as their annual identification details could not be verified by their respective banks at the end of the month.
